Position: Branch Administration Assistant
Start: Mid-January 2022
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Salary: $35.00 per hour
Location: Wauchope, NSW



Looking for experienced Branch Administration Assistant for 6- month contract role at Wauchope commencing mid-January 2022.  If you have great customer service, records management and diverse admin skills then this role is for you. $35.00 p/h. 

Primary Purpose of the Position

To provide administrative support to the relevant branch staff and ensure office processes run efficiently.

Key accountabilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the public within the reception area
  • Purchasing duties including stock maintenance and ordering of PPE, fire-fighting equipment and uniforms, and creation of purchase orders.
  • Records and information management including assisting with reports, data entry into filing systems, and monitoring the progress of improvement plans and corrective actions
  • General administration including scanning, photocopying and arranging maintenance of office equipment as required
  • Dealing with enquiries including land administration matters, road closures, camping sites, firewood and fossicking permits, forest use permits, boundary and fencing issues, road maintenance, harvest and haul issues etc.
  • Invoicing, accounts receivable, banking, and taking customer payments
  • Coordinating travel arrangements such as accommodation and car hire
  • Organising facilities, venues and catering for meetings and business functions

 Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Competent in the MS Office suite
  • Ability to source, understand and implement relevant policies, standards and procedures
  • Sound knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable and receivable
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus on detailed repetitive tasks
  • Capacity and willingness to undertake fire and fuel management duties, fire-fighting and extensive travel (mainly driving), work extended hours, and maintain sufficient fitness for the job (e.g. able to efficiently conduct reconnaissance/investigation through difficult terrain and dense vegetation) and a current drivers licence

Appointments are subject to reference checks and the following clearances and requirements:

  • Fully covid vaccinated
  • Availability to work from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday
