Position: Campus Service Officer

Location: Coffs Harbour

Our Government client in Coffs Harbour is seeking a campus service officer to deliver operational and infrastructure solutions to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide quality customer service in the effective deployment and implementation of learning infrastructure
  • Implement the Learning Infrastructure Plan, responding to customer requests, conducting repairs and actioning reporting requirements, to ensure facilities are well presented, well maintained and improve efficiency and utilisation. This includes ensuring grounds, facilities and equipment are hazard free, clean and professionally presented
  • Apply a collaborative problem-solving approach in responding to urgent customer priorities and developing innovative solutions
  • Use campus systems and support to ensure common problems with frontline Information Technology (IT) and Audio Visual (AV) equipment are resolved – Coordinate maintenance and repair of these items as required
  • Contribute to the efficient and effective operations of teaching and learning facilities, the site and equipment (Managing signs, Ensuring photocopiers are supplied and operational, Supporting fleet management and optimisation, etc)
  • Coordinating day to day use of resources such as water and utilities
  • Inducting and being the main point of contact for contractors and monitoring and providing feedback on contractor performance
  • Collect data to support audits and reporting, identify improvement opportunities and discuss these with the LIM to implement process improvements
  • Undertake Chief Warden duties and be the key point of contact for first aid, emergency and safety and implement front line emergency, evacuation, flood, first aid and security plans and procedures and registers when required

  • Engage internal stakeholders who are working in complex environments with competing priorities
  • Prioritise diverse work requirements and requests for information and reports and meeting strict deadlines
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives relating to improved customer experiences
  • Acknowledge and responding to customer complaints in relation to contracted services and the staff providing the contracted service
  • Monitor and review services provided by service and maintenance contractors to ensure services are delivered to the required standards and
  • Liaise with external customers regarding the use of campus facilities
