Position: Senior Systems Officer

Our Government Client has an excellent 7 month position available for a Senior Systems Officer in Parramatta. With an immediate start, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of directory services with emphasis on business roadmap activities, customer satisfaction, process improvement and mitigation/transition project support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish collaborative and influential relationships with stakeholders, customers and colleagues, to ensure easy and effective achievement of team / project / business goals
  •  Effectively balance competing demands
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a constructive workplace culture
  • Perform proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demand
  • Participate in projects to on board new customers and services to the directory platforms
  • Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages
  • Evaluate new directory solutions and monitor the market for emerging technology. Provide advice and recommendation to ICT programs and IS teams on opportunities for service improvement
  • Train and mentor the other members of the team to ensure they have the knowledge and abilities to assist other teams and existing personnel for resolution of complex directory service-related issues
  • Preparation of reports that document the various performance characteristics of the information technology service delivery that relate to technical issues

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience and/or qualifications in supporting enterprise directory environments underpinned by Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience and/or knowledge in the following: Certificate Services, Directory Delegation, Disaster Recovery, Directory/Server auditing and scripting using powershell
  • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in supporting Identity Management Solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in Incident, Change and Event management processes and technologies as aligned with ITIL methodologies
  • Ability to be flexible and undertake a variety of roles and ownership within and across support and/or projects teams to deliver agreed outcomes with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to fault find and resolve issues in a complex directory and identity management environments
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with management, vendors, partners and customers both internal and external
