Position: Support Officer

Location: Bathurst

Our Government Client is currently seeking an Administration Support Officer to join their team in Bathurst, initially until the end of October, 2019

Key Accountabilities

  • Undertake front-of-house reception duties at the head office, ensuring a professional, customer-focussed response to all visitors and telephone enquiries
  • Act as the first point of access for member and client enquiries received via telephone or email, and provide routine information in an effective and responsive manner; efficiently refer extraordinary, complex and/or specialist enquiries to the appropriate staff as required
  • Process documentation relating to a diverse range of licensing and registration transactions in a timely manner, that is consistent with legislation, relevant policies and procedures; request additional information from applicants as necessary
  •  Apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures to a diverse range of registration transactions
  • Endorse and/or approve documentation in accordance with delegations; notify applicants of decisions within agreed service delivery timeframes; create full and accurate records, including decisions and actions taken, and ensure that records are managed appropriately
  • Prepare correspondence, concise reports and submissions on the assessment of registration applications and related matters
  • Maintain and prepare records and statistical data required to meet the reporting requirements

Essential requirements

  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a customer service, regulatory or similar high volume work environment
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Minimum 40wpm with 100% accuracy
