Labour opportunities ramp up

We’ve had an increase in requests for labour hire workers, which is great news for blue collar workers seeking a job.

Macquarie Labour Hire Head Glenn Farley said there is a broad range of skilled tradespeople in hot demand.

“We have received a big increase in the number of roadworker roles in regional NSW, stretching from the south coast, through to Sydney and up to the Mid North Coast,” he said.

“Civil labourers, roadworkers, bridge workers and truck drivers are in demand by employers.

“We are also seeing some hybrid roles, such as truck drivers who will also assist with road maintenance and other labouring duties. These roles require some previous experience, with White Card and traffic control tickets also preferred.

“We have seen an increase in the number of government roles being advertised and we are pleased to have received an increase in the quality of applicants to put forward for these roles.

“We encourage anyone with the relevant skill sets and tickets looking for work across NSW or in Queensland to view the current opportunities and apply via our website.”

If you are seeking a different role to those advertised, no problem. You can register your interest on our website or by calling 1300 854 622 and join our talent pool.
