Allyson is one of the committed Care Support Workers at MBC Nursing in Port Macquarie and has been with us for three and a half years. She works in various settings, helping several clients live their best lives every day. She managed to work consistently and substantially above her regular hours, during the period between 1 November 2022 and 31 January 2023. Nursing staff were automatically entered into the draw for this once-in-a-lifetime trip! It includes return flights, five nights’ accommodation and dinner.
How did she feel when she received the call last week? Surprised! She forgot all about the prize after reading about it in the December edition of the newsletter and was very surprised when she received the call from Sarah Young, Clinical Manager at MBC Nursing.
Her favourite part of her job? Everything! As a young girl, she knew she wanted a career involving caring and supporting the less fortunate. Since moving from Bathurst to Port Macquarie in the mid-’70s, she has grown to love the area and its people.
She likes spending her spare time with friends and family and going to the beach. Allyson is looking forward to her trip to the Whitsundays after a previous visit many years ago.
